G.E.T. Utility History
G.E.T. Utility Sales was founded in 1987 by Gary M. Weigand. Gary’s knowledge in the utilities were derived from his uncle Joe Itrich who was a salesman for Tallman Equipment Company and later started Hi-Line Utility Supply Co. After a brief stint of working on the Alaskian pipeline, Gary began working in the electrical utility field in 1975 with his uncle. In 1987 Gary took his own route and founded G.E.T Utility Sales. From the beginning, G.E.T. covered four states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin and still do today!
G.E.T. was built from the ground up by Gary Weigand due to his impressive customer service and excellent knowledge of equipment. G.E.T. has created and maintained strong relationships between manufacturers and distributors for over 35 years. In 2018 Gary added partner Mike Carani to G.E.T. Utility Sales and who has now taken over all operations. In his short span Mike, has recruited Nick Adelberger and Chris Carani to the G.E.T. Utility Sales team.
